Custom Cosplay Build: Printing Gustave’s Arm from Expedition 33 | NoahPrints

Our First Official Customer: Expedition 33 Cosplay Build

There’s no better feeling than landing your very first official customer order—and this one was a absolute dream project to kick things off!

A cosplayer reached out to NoahPrints located in the Netherlands! With an ambitious request: 3D printing the intricate prosthetic arm worn by Gustave, the lead engineer in the RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Going the Extra Mile for the Perfect Fit

Because wearable cosplay props need to be comfortable for long con days, we didn’t just throw files at the printer and hope for the best. We worked closely with the customer to make sure the end result was spot-on:

  • Sizing & Fitment Adjustments: After discussing how the arm would sit, we adjusted the digital file scaling to match the customer’s exact measurements.
  • Comparison Test Prints: Printed physical comparison pieces first so the customer could test the feel, scale, and detail in person before running the final full-scale prints.
  • Precision Layering: Calibrated layer heights and high-strength PLA+ settings to keep the prop lightweight, rigid, and ready for finishing work.
